The MOTHER of All Comedy Shows is a smart and sassy, live stand up comedy show featuring the funniest performers in the DMV. We book a line up of women and non-binary performers because these babes are badass and you deserve some hilarious comedy.

And whether you are a mother or have a mother or love a mother or do the mothering for someone special, we celebrate you! This is comedy by women and funny for everyone so grab a drink, sit back, and get ready to laugh.

Talent Line-up & Bios

Amber Born is a comedian and writer who got her start in Boston and now resides in Philadelphia. Combining tightly written jokes and an unassuming demeanor, she brings audiences her deepest thoughts and most mundane opinions with a style best described as “uncomfortably hilarious.” She has performed in the 2024 Boston Comedy Festival, was a finalist in Helium Comedy Club’s 2023 Philly’s Phunniest competition, and won a comedy contest in a New Jersey bowling alley.

Chloe Mikala (she/her) is a Black Queer actorcomedian, and writer, who won’t shut up about astrology. She has performed with The Second City, where she was a Bob Curry Fellow, and also is the co-producer of the all Black comedy variety show My Best Friend is Black – a show that has been selected as one of the ‘Top 10 Best Comedy Shows to See in Chicago’!

As a stand up comic, she’s opened and hosted for Dulcé Sloan, Bobcat Goldthwait, Adam Conover, Marcella Arguello, Chastity Washington, and more. Performed on multiple stages and festivals such as Laugh Factory, Comedy on State, Comedy Vault, Madison Comedy Festival, Motor City Comedy Festival, and Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest NYC (Runner Up Best of Fest ‘23) just to name a few.

Keonna Scott has been performing stand up comedy for the past 8 years and have performed in over 30+ states and at some of the world’s top comedy festivals. Such as Chicago funny women , Black girl giggles, Laughing Skull festival , also Burbank Comedy Festival in La .. Keonna is known for my original material and hilarious stories about her life. Keonna Scott material can be heard on Kevin Hart Radio Laugh out loud

Pippa Spindel is a stand-up comedian from Washington, DC unless you are from the DC area in which case she is from Bethesda, MD. Currently based in Los Angeles, she hosts SuperSets Comedy, a premier indie stand-up show, and has performed at clubs (Mic Drop, Helium, The Crow) and festivals (SF Sketchfest, Plano, Rise) all over the country. She has never started a podcast.

Anna Tirat-Gefen is a stand-up comedian, an immigrant from Ukraine, a full time working mother of five children, a wife, and a rocket scientist. Anna lives, works and performs in the Greater Washington DC area. She has performed at the Flappers Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and local Maryland and Washington DC venues. Anna is also a member of the Interfaith Comedy group.

Busboys and Poets-Takoma is located right on the Maryland – D.C border and is a short walk away from the Takoma metro station. Some street parking is also available. Busboys has a separate room for our shows with table seating available. Their excellent menu features both adult beverages and food that will satisfy meat eaters and non-meat eaters. This show is for adults (18+). If you want to be seated together, please buy your tickets together and arrive early. Doors open at 6:45pm. You can have dinner at the show or arrive early to have dinner in the main dining room and then come in to our side room for the show.
